The process of making a bead

The art of processing melted or hot glass with a torch is called “lampworking" or "flamework". I have specialized in creating glass beads.

In this process, glass rods are melted from the top and as soon as they form a viscous drop, the glass is wrapped around a coated metal rod.

The next step is the decoration and shaping, as well as the colouring of the bead.

After the bead has reached its dimensionally stable state, it is slowly and evenly cooled to room temperature.

Each glass bead of my jewellery is made individually and processed with great patience and attention to detail.
